I am writing this letter to inform you that after 43 years of serving Defiance as a funeral director and 39 years of owning Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, I have made the difficult decision to sell. It has been my privilege and honor to care for families in Defiance over the years.

I want to ensure that Defiance continues to receive the care needed. Jayne and I have accepted an offer, to purchase the funeral home, from the Dan Schaffer family. They will extend their care to include families that we have served.

I wish you peace and happiness in the future.
