Hi, just contemplating the same thing. Have sourced a set of 16' wheels that started life on a volvo but have the same 5 x 108 pattern. Is there anything else I should consider before fitting them? Are there any codes that I can check to ensure correct clearances on the calipers for example or is it a question of trying they for size.

Trying to get out a hole as am a long way from home and have a broken wheel. A repair has been attempted but failed and while I have been unable to find a replacement 18' I have been offered a set of 16' wheels and tyres which look good and as Richard says ought to improve the harsh ride on the car anyway. Thanks in advance. I recently acquired a 2007 Jaguar X-Type, fully optioned, including 18' Aruba sport wheels.

Like Richard, I find them too hard riding, especially on DC streets, and plan to downsize to the 17'. I could go for some remanufactured Jaguar OEM wheels, but might consider a quality after-market alternative if it'll fit, look and perform right. Any recommendations? The Coventry wheels look nice, but don't care for that mirror lip, and they're 8' wide, whereas the originals are 7', so some concern about clearance.
